Remembering our good friend
and trusted employee
RICK HAMILTON

Memorial Service

Where:

St. Cecila Catholic Church
820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater, FL
(727) 447-3494

When:

May 25, 2012 at 7pm.

Rick was a very dedicated father to his son Kris. He was so faithful to Kris, he went out of his way every day to demonstrate this commitment.

He was a very good friend, and I MEAN A TRUE FRIEND to MANY. Friends like Rick are few and far between.

Rick loved to read books and was some what of a history buff. He was born into what I understand as one of the nicest families you could ever meet. While I have never had the privilege to meet her in person, his mother Betty is an over the top sweet genuine soul who fears God and loves everyone. Rick's father had just passed away back in February of this year. Rick took that very hard. We understand he was a very good son.

Builder's Hardware hates that our great friend went so sudden. We did not get to say our good byes before he left us. He is remembered by ALL of us now and we will cherish his memory for the rest of our years.

Good bye to our dear employee and friend.

Rick, you were a great inspiration to many and a hard working loving man who we ALL appreciate even more now that you are not with us. Thank you for ALL your kindness, love and dedication from each of us who have been in your life. WE MISS YOU and everyone that knew you will miss you!

"I can't begin to express how sad I am to hear the news about Rick. I will certainly miss his visits to our office. Rick was not just a rep to us. He took the time to visit with you as a friend. He learned about your family and remembered to ask about them on every visit. He was truly a person I considered to be more than my rep. My sincere thoughts go out to his family. He spoke about his son to me on every visit.

Again my prays are with his family at home and at work."

"Sorry to use order email for this. Thank you for the photos of Rick. Meet Rick at Booker in Nov 1983 and have been friends since. I talk to Rick monthly and have lunch when we see each other out on the road. I will miss him dearly. Your customers were also his friends many like myself broke down hearing the news. I enjoyed the time I spent with him. After everything he loved Chris more than anything. I remember he loved chili so much we would eat at the Chilli Bowl on N. Florida Ave. most Fridays in 80's & 90's before they closed."

"Thank You for sharing the nice pictures of Rick, he was a neighbor and a friend for over 21 years. I can tell you this he never worked for your company, it was a way of life & he truly loved everyone there. He talked so glowing about you all I feel like I know you all. Rick was very dear to us & we are still in shock but it is good to know that he was able to associate with people like you all."

"I have known Rick Hamilton since 1988 when I joined Booker, Company in Tampa as an outside salesman. During his tenure, Rick worked both as a salesman and a buyer. I always knew Rick to be steady and unflappable.  He was always courteous and a gentleman. We shared a common love of history. His immersion was far deeper than mine. I often told him that he should be a professor at the high school or college level.

I will offer a little story. I was leaving Booker in 1993 and Rick was to take my place. I spent a week introducing him to customers and explaining my routine. One day I had been riding with him in his car.  He needed to get home early that day. Unfortunately, we were delayed in Lake Placid. When we finally left, I told him that I had never seen a trooper on Hwy 66. Well, of course he got nabbed doing something over 70 in 60 zone – out in the middle of nowhere.  I felt so bad that I paid for half of his ticket. Odd, but we never spoke of that incident again."
